2024 Mexico Libertad

The Mexico Libertad is NOT a coin. It really is just a government-minted bullion round.

Is it worth it?

The Silver Libertad bullion coin was first introduced by the Mexican Mint in 1982, showcasing designs inspired by earlier Mexican coins and emphasizing the Angel of Independence.

Over the years, the series expanded to include various sizes and special editions (proof, antiqued, reverse-proof), each capturing elements of Mexican history and culture.

Silver Libertad coins come in various sizes, including 1/20 ounces, 1/10 ounce, 1/4 oz, 1/2 oz, 2 oz, 5 oz, and 1 kilogram. The 1 oz size is the most widely circulated.

Being minted by the Mexican Mint, the Casa de Moneda, which is one of the oldest operating mints in the Americas established in 1535, adds historical authenticity.

The Mexico Libertad does hold a distinctive allure. The Mexican Mint produces these rounds, and unlike typical government bullion, they genuinely captivate the stackers, collectors, and investors. The intricate design and their rich history really add to their appeal.

The Mexico Libertad’s rich history is deeply intertwined with the country's heritage and national identity.

The reverse side of the coin features the iconic Angel of Independence, or "El Ángel," a prominent symbol of Mexican independence and freedom. The statue in Mexico City commemorates the centennial of Mexico's War of Independence.

The Mexico Libertad is more than just a bullion round. It is a piece of art and history, encapsulating the essence of Mexican heritage. Collectors and investors alike often find value not just in the metal, but in what the Libertad symbolizes.

If you're drawn to the aesthetic, historical, and potential long-term value, Libertads could be a worthy addition to your stack. They offer more than just silver content—they bring a piece of Mexico's cultural heritage with them!

The Mexico Libertad combines the best of both worlds—intrinsic value in terms of its silver content, and a rich story that reflects Mexico's history and culture. It's quite like having a tangible piece of art that's also a solid investment.

Every detail on the Libertad, from the depiction of the Winged Victory statue to the iconic Mexican volcanoes in the background, tells a part of Mexico's story. It's those unique aspects that make owning a Libertad so special—not just owning a silver coin, but owning a piece of heritage.

What's your primary reason for stacking? Is it passion for numismatics, or financial growth?
