The 2025 American Silver Eagle

The world's most popular silver bullion coin is absolutely the American Silver Eagle.

Because of the fact that they typically command higher premiums, some stackers and investors would insist that they represent the ideal method of investing in silver bullion. The United States government issues the Silver American Eagle coin, which is accepted as legal money in all U.S. territories.

The new image that shows the bald eagle in left-profile relief was introduced in July 2021. The eagle is in midflight as it swoops downward with its wings raised and its talons extended clutching an oak branch.

Below are two types of American Silver Eagle, Type 1 and type 2.

I am partial to the original design of the American Silver Eagle coin.

I prefer the original design of the eagle on the reverse.

If you purchase a large number of random, enjoyable, interesting, collectible silver items without any idea of how you would sell them later, you should give the question some thought because you will probably have to sell each piece separately.

Of course you can take the silver to a local coin shop, and most probably you would receive close to spot price for each and every ounce of the enjoyable silver collectible, even if you paid a lot of high premiums for them.

You may sell each collectible separately on Ebay as your exit strategy, but it will be a hassle for most (for me anyway) who understand that there are Ebay fees, Paypal fees, and shipping to take into account.

Also, selling every ounce can take a while. Having a collection of random silver collectibles can prevent you from selling your silver quickly if you need to.

For this reason, I purchase mostly bullion for my stack. And when I can, I purchase low-premium silver coins, rounds, and bars as these will be more liquid and much simpler to sell in the future.
