Making the Old Look Rustic
For my next photography project, I decided to focus on an old bird house that is in my garden. My goal was to use some aperture settings on my camera to give it a rustic look. In reality this is a old bird house that has seen better days as it has been through several seasons of a hot summer sun and windy winters.
This bird house has been drawn on with various crayons and pencils. However as a result of being in the rain and win, these markings give it a bit of a rustic look.
As you can see, I played around with picking different distances of the photos and have tried different angles. One of the things that I thought was interesting was the way that the shadows seem to dance around the photos during this time of day.
