I got to be hers

last night, she saw the moon.

she tagged me, with yellow playing in the background, and wrote

“Janu, my yellow person.”

I giggled for a long time after that.

bcs it wasn’t just about the moon.
or the song.

it was the thought that, in a quiet moment, with the whole sky above her, her heart still wandered to me.

i’ve always loved the colour yellow.

not bcs it’s the brightest,
but bcs it reminds me that warmth doesn’t have to be loud.

sometimes, love is just that.

seeing something beautiful,
and immediately thinking of one person.

last night,
i got to be hers.

and i think that’s one of the gentlest kinds of love anyone could ever receive.
