We Made That Decision
We started getting this urgent feeling that we need to get back home to Maryland. And my one sister, Madison, kept hearing, move quickly. God was telling her, it needs to be quickly.
And we were like, what? At this point, we had only been there a year and a half. Compared to Maryland territory wise, there's no comparison of the spirit. It is Holy Spirit filled there.
And here we have very religious spirit in this state. So we just, Lord, you called us here to do your plans. We're going to have our business.
And we're already getting a lot of momentum with everyone we're meeting. This makes no sense that you would send us back home. No sense at all.
We don't get it. And that's back to Genesis' point of obedience. Most of the time, I say this all the time, people look at people doing things for God, and they think you're chosen.
They think you feel anointed. No. You are, not for the reasons they think.
Well, that's correct, Matt. That's really well said. You are, but here's the thing.
The people you see doing things for God are just as terrified, just as uncertain, and just as scared. They are choosing to move forward anyway. They're moving forward despite the fear because they're trusting God.
We all have the same fear that's coming at us. It's having the faith to move forward despite the fear. And then God shows up.
It's normally the yes that he asks for first, and that's because that's what faith is. If this wasn't the way, we would think we did it, and there would be no need for God. But when you move forward not knowing, then his power shows up.
And so it wasn't until after we said, okay, Lord, we don't know why. We're very upset about this, but we will move back home to Maryland. As soon as we made that decision, it was like he opened our eyes to the game plan.
