Trust In God

I don't know who I am without you,
for you gave me life.
You taught me how to walk with my head high
when all I wanted to do was hide.
You gave me the strength to keep going when I just wanted to give up.
When I felt like there was nowhere else to go, you showed me the way.
You filled the emptiness when I felt hollowed out.
When things felt completely helpless you gave me purpose.
You showed me the beauty of life when the world
showed me nothing but hate, contempt, and corruption.
When I couldn't let go you showed me how.
You healed my heart when I felt it had shattered into a million
unfixable pieces
But I will trust you, I will leave my fears behind.
You came and stayed with me when everyone just left me alone.
You were always there, even when I rejected You.
For this and so many more reasons Lord
I will forever try to make you proud
Because of all You are, my life, oh God, is in your hands
Because of this, I owe my life to you, my Lord.
