Visit to Artcava

Located in Avinyonet, a small town in El Penedes wine area, 45 minutes away from Barcelona. Artcava is a unique winery that offers a bunch of experiences related to the Cava wine variety. I was lucky enough to get a tour of the facilities from Eric, one of the founders.

Getting into the winery from the local road offers you a breathtaking view of the vineyard with the Montserrat mountains and the Sant Pere d'Avinyo Church

The facilities are located in an old farmers' house which was rebuilt 15 years ago. The picture shows one of the dining rooms and an old telephone from the last century.

The area offers a campsite for travelers with a motorhome and also a tiny house to spend a few days.

And right now, the team is working on their last project. A Cava Bar which they are building out of two shipping containers. They expect to start offering music nights in a couple of weeks.
