May Hive users be the next crypto milionaires?
I read on the news Mt Gox has pushed back the return date to October 24 but has already started repayments for some creditors at the end of this year. The small market correction may be due to that or to the fact that they are messing around again as some creditors have reported they have received their return funds twice by error and may be selling the "extra" present :)
What is interesting however is to realize how someone who suffered a hack almost 10 years ago, has become a holder by accident and may end up becoming a millionaire after BTC has experienced such a price increase.
If you had a chance to ask any of those being hacked what they would do if they could recover their funds back in 2014, probably 99% of them would have answered they would have cashed out their funds and forgotten about BTC for a long while, but they could not, and now, 10 years after, the markets will be sending them probably a way better return on investment than what they could have ever imagined the day they found all their money was lost.
It will be interesting to see how the markets get affected when some of that money gets released during next year. Although is a nice total amount, the markets are way more mature than back then and volumes are higher. Not everyone will sell, but probably some money will flow from BTC to other coins reducing BTC dominance. There will be so much happening next year with the ETF, the Halving, Mt Gox returns, the FED reducing interest rates, and all the innovations taking place in the crypto industry, I am sure we will have an exciting 2024 year, to say the least.
And if you have not seen one of the latest Coin Bureau videos, where he analyses next year's expected crypto narratives, I suggest you do so (min 3:48). The first narrative he mentions is DeSO, decentralized social media, and that's exactly where Hive is. Who knows if we, Hive users may be the next millionaires " by accident ".
