Castelo Branco scrap yard

Every time I go to town for supplies I pass by this scrap yard. It is quite big and the amount of old vintage cars they have is impressive. I always slow down to contemplate all the stuff there. Yesterday, on my way back to the village I decided to stop and get in to shoot some photos.

Unfortunately, the place was closed and I could not get in, but I managed to walk by the gate and take some photos from the outside. There are two sections, one with cars from the 70's and this other one with way older cars and trucks which are the oldies goodies.

Some of them seem to be militar healthcare trucks as there is also old medical equipment.

It is incredible and kind of sad to see some of this old high end cars trashed the way the are, I will try to stop some other day to get in and spend some time getting closer to see the condition of them. I wonder if they are from mainland Portugal or from one of their many ancient colonies.
