Splinterlands: It's Time to Brawl!

With the start of new season in Splinterlands I am making sure I participate in all the brawls with my Guild.
It's the best way to earn Merits which help you pick up the Gladiator packs, this is the only way you get Gladiator cards to level them up and complete your collection as these soulbound beauties can not be purchased from the market.
These are also the strongest cards in my opinion and I am convinced they will have more utilities in the future.

Coming back to the recent Brawl results I noticed that I just got 300 odd Merits as rewards. This was surprising as usually I used to get close to 2K Merits after each brawl and I was able to pick up 1 new Gladiator pack after each round of Brawl.
When I checked what could be the reason I saw that it is because most of the members in my Guild have stopped playing and that affects rewards for the whole Guild.
I have been with this team for years so don't wanna leave suddenly but if this trend continues I will probably look out for a new Guild.

Anyways I purchased the balance Merits from the Shop and opened a Gladiator pack. Finally got some luck coming my way with 2 Rares in the same pack and I was able to upgrade my Gladiator after such a long wait
