Splinterlands: Entering Gold I in Foundations

If I compare this season to the last couple of seasons I can see a clear difference that now there are more players slogging it actively. Earlier it used to be much easier to get into Gold I which is the highest you can go in Foundations. Now it took me a lot of grind to finally get there with just a few days left in the season and I am not sure I will be able to get into the top 100 in Gold league leaderboard.

Still it did feel good to achieve this milestone and last time I got some really great cards from the 15 reward chests I got for making it to Gold I. This is where I got a big disappointment as when I opened the 15 boxes expecting great cards and maybe a few goldfoils I was shocked to see they were all full of potions and energy and just 1 common card from 15 chests. My worst reward pull ever from Gold league.

Not sure if this is a trend for the future and going forward it will be more difficult to collect Foundations packs. Maybe it will be a good thing increasing their demand and value.
