South Aceh district (Aceh Language: Acèh Tunong, Jawi: اچيه تونوڠ) is one of the districts in Aceh Province, Indonesia. Prior to stand alone as an autonomous district, a candidate region in South Aceh Regency is part of West Aceh District. Formation of South Aceh District is characterized by the passing of Emergency Law No. 7 of 1956 on November 4, 1956.
The district has a total population is the largest sub-District of Labuhan Haji, followed by Kecamatan Kluet Utara. While the number of inhabitants of the least are the District of Sawang. Most of the population centered along the coast highway and the edge of the river.
