This mama Robin built her cozy nest on our porch lamp early this Spring. They were definitely welcome and most likely quite warm as we had several cold days. The American Robin is in the Thrush family.

They also lay the most gorgeous blue eggs. This photo was actually taken last Spring at my old house. There always seems to be a robin's nest wherever I go. I look forward to seeing them each season and watching the little ones learn to fly.
