make boiled cassava with palm sugar sauce
Hi hive friends, how are you all? I hope you're all having a great day and that you're able to be creative again in this community. And as usual, I'll invite you to make a sweet snack. This can also be used as dessert or breakfast. I haven't eaten this cassava with palm sugar sauce for a long time because I couldn't find it in my local market.
That's why I took the initiative to make it myself at home, using cassava as the basic ingredient, which is very affordable in my area. Who here loves cassava? Come join me in making a delicious snack to enjoy.
Not only sweet snacks, the savory and soft taste of cassava itself also provides a taste sensation that cannot be described, even though cassava is a cheap food ingredient and usually cassava is also a typical village food which is usually only boiled or after being boiled it is coated with grated coconut and eaten immediately, but over time this cassava has been very much in demand by city people, because of the various delicious foods that can be made from this cassava.
So, I made no mistake when I chose cassava to make this delicious dish. Although the method is simple, I believe the taste is truly delicious.
Curious about how to make it? Just follow the step-by-step instructions I'll share in today's post.
Materials used
1 cassava
1 piece of brown sugar
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
A pinch of salt
Manufacturing procedure
First
I started peeling the cassava, this is what makes me lazy to peel the cassava skin haha, after peeling it I started to cut the cassava into small pieces, and I washed it first until the cassava was clean, then I prepared a steamer to steam it.
Second
While I steamed the cassava until it was really soft, I started to prepare the sauce. I cut the palm sugar into small pieces, then I put it in a frying pan. I added granulated sugar, water and salt. I cooked it until the palm sugar dissolved.
Third
Next, I heat the sugar water until it boils, then I add 1 tablespoon of cornstarch solution to thicken it.
Four
After it thickens, take the steamed cassava and mix it into the palm sugar sauce until evenly mixed and serve.
RESULTS
For serving, I added a little roasted sesame seeds to make it more fragrant and delicious when eaten.
It's very easy to make this snack, this delicious and sweet snack is perfect to eat while it's warm or cold, the cassava is very soft with the addition of super sweet palm sugar,
If this is served at a family event, I am sure that many people will like it, because it is proven that I myself did not stop enjoying it, I didn't realize that I finished 2 bowls of this snack because it was so delicious in my mouth.
