POEM: The Lake
She with lake stilled breath
and a vast ocean pulse
said, "It's OK to sit with silent prayer."
My words ran dry
swept by angel wings
and I joined her holding flight in the air
I wouldn't dare
enter a lion's domain
or step foot where its paws have pressed
But this water dulled roar
waterside with a view
meant my eyes were flooded with stares
