Wierquer Qualitats Bier Premium to season Christmas! | The #BeerSaturday Challenge Week 443

There's never a bad excuse not to share with loved ones. The date and time don't matter. Time is precious, as is the emotion that sustains it.

The same is true with beer—it's always welcome!

So, this week we tried Wierquer, a Spanish-brewed beer based on traditional German lager, for the first time, to celebrate the holiday season with it.

Thanks to #hive we were able to buy a case of this beer and a whole boneless leg of pork to roast as the main course for Christmas Eve and Christmas dinner at my son @eborosa's house

While the leg of meat was defrosting, and we were supposed to enjoy the time tasting the beer, I peeled some green plantains, chopped them into small slices and made chicharritas, a tasty option to liven up the drink along with the conversation, or vice versa.

Once the meat was thawed, chopped and seasoned, it was left for quite some time so that the aroma and flavor would reach the right point for the palate.

The game of Dominoes, of course, is a must at any Cuban celebration. With my partner, my son, even though I sometimes got the wrong combination of tiles, every victory was celebrated with beer—and the defeats too, of course; in the end, what matters is the importance of having fun as a family.

Ah, for those who haven't yet tried this beer, I should mention that its low price on the international market is curious, unlike in Cuba, of course, where nothing is cheap for the people.

Wierquer Qualitats Bier Premium is a Lager-style beer, brewed by the Spanish brewery Font Salem, S.L., with a style reminiscent of German beer and an alcohol content of 4.5% ABV.

Pale and crystal clear, creamy with a generous head, it has a flavor reminiscent of rosemary that lingers on the palate. Personally, I find it a bit too bitter for my taste, but since it's a special week, I wanted to try something new to share with my son, and he didn't complain, haha...

Now I have to flip the meat again and open another beer to say goodbye, but not before sending you all a hug of light!
