When the set changes over time | My entry for #Monomad Challenge [ENG-ESP]

Hello, Hive black-and-white photography lovers!

Sometimes you find yourself pausing somewhere—simply drinking a coffee without trying to think about anything, focusing instead on the aroma and flavor of that dark brew and, perhaps, observing the people sharing the space with their diverse faces and stories.

Suddenly, something catches your eye—a piece of décor, perhaps—not necessarily because of its beauty, but because of the symbolism that stirs your emotions.

And that is exactly where I couldn't help but stop... A bicycle saddle, worn by time, sitting in a corner—seemingly hidden among plants that appear to be shielding this relic of the past, helping it endure.

And the composition is enriched with new meanings.

An old money-collection machine seems to be in dialogue with the bicycle saddle; resting atop the machine are the remnants of two banknotes—denominations of one and five Cuban pesos—which, in themselves and due to the heroes adorning them, take on purely symbolic value, possessing no actual purchasing power other than for rounding out a specific figure.

Perspectives, framings, and shots—and the contrasts between them—intended to have the observer reinterpret each image...

And amidst the plants and the evocation of certain values ​​and symbols, I bid you farewell with a hug of light—until the next black-and-white frame!

Sucede que uno está en algún sitio en pausa, simplemente bebiendo un café sin pretender pensar en nada, centrarse en el aroma y el sabor de esa bebida oscura y, si acaso, observar a quienes comparten el mismo lugar, con sus historias y rostros diversos.

De pronto hay algo, alguna decoración, que nos atrapa, no necesariamente por su belleza, sino por la simbología que nos hace emocionar.

Y ahí es donde no pude evitar detenerme... Un sillín de velocípedo, roído en el tiempo, en una esquina, como oculto entre algunas plantas que parecen proteger lo antiguo para que persista.

Y el encuadre se enriquece con nuevos significados.

Con el sillín de velocípedo, parecen dialogar una vieja máquina colectora de dinero y, encima de ella, los restos de dos billetes con denominación de uno y cinco pesos cubanos; denominaciones que por sí mismas, por los héroes que le decoran, devienen puro valor simbólico, sin valor adquisitivo alguno, salvo para completar alguna cifra determinada.

Perspectivas, encuadres, planos en sus contrastes con la intención de que el observador reinterprete cada imagen...

Y entre plantas y evocación a determinados valores y símbolos, me voy despidiendo con un abrazo de luz, ¡hasta un próximo fotograma en blanco y negro!
