Music for smiling on the cobblestones | My entry for #Monomad Challenge [ENG-ESP]

Hello, black-and-white photography lovers of Hive!

Santa Clara, like my entire country, is a contrast of something indescribable—as if the ethereal were struggling to survive.

Light, colors—or their absence—and walking with a smile become luxuries that must not be cast aside.

Faces that reveal that struggle for survival amidst beauty.

Fortunately, there are those who keep the art alive and take to the streets, letting their chords ring out over the cobblestones—even when the city is empty, even when passersby ignore them...

That someone, without realizing it, will carry a melody in their heart, and at some point will be able to smile thanks to him—the man with the guitar right there on the boulevard.

One cannot resist something that does not happen every day. We must pause, applaud, and give thanks, hoping that the streets will regain the harmony of the music carried by every passerby—even as memories of the past, such as the twentieth century, linger in our minds.

And so, hoping you have managed to smile at the sublime, I bid you farewell with an embrace of light until the next black-and-white frame.

Santa Clara, como todo mi país, es un contraste de algo indescriptible, como si lo etéreo luchase por sobrevivir.

La luz, los colores o sí ausencia, en andar con una sonrisa, se tornan lujos que es preciso no dejar a un lado.

Rostros que evidencian esa lucha por la supervivencia en lo hermoso.

Por fortuna existe quien conserva el arte y se lanza a las calles con sus acordes sobre los adoquines, aunque la ciudad esté vacía, aunque alguien pase por su lado y le ignore...

Ese alguien, sin saberlo, se llevará una melodía en el pecho, y en algún momento podrá sonreír gracias a él, el hombre de la guitarra en pleno boulevard.

Ante algo que no sucede siempre, uno no puede resistirse. Es necesario detenernos, aplaudir y agradecer con la esperanza de que las calles recuperen la armonía de la música de cada transeúnte, aunque el recuerdo del pasado, del siglo XX, por ejemplo, persista en la memoria.

Así, con la intención de que ustedes hayan logrado sonreír ante lo sublime, me despido con un abrazo de luz hasta un próximo fotograma en blanco y negro.
