Flames that warm the soul
My first, still very small, bonfire this year. You could say it's a germ.
I love fire. The last time I took a walk in the woods I couldn't stand it and lit it. The smell of the smoke, the feeling when it stings my eyes, the warmth for my hands. The crackling of burning twigs. And the tongues of flame that dance and delight in the possibility of life.
Flames that warm the soul. At least once a year you need to get out of the house and start a fire.
For me personally, the process of making a fire and then catching it burning, rustling a stick in the coals, brings incredible peace. It calms me down.
A beautiful power that will not tolerate carelessness or disrespect.
