Free Art Frees Art On Holiday

Spending some time in a retirement community visiting my mother. There's some morning time to work on my free art, but not much space, so I make 4x6 cards and little 16-page booklets that I learned how to fold from Edgeworth Johnstone, jompiyHive account@jompiy. I make the card with watercolor pencils before dawn and doodle on the booklet sheet of paper while chatting with my mom on her patio. Later on, I slide a 4x6 card with QR code glued to the back, into a plastic casing, along with a booklet. I'll hand these out with other free art in the near future.

I watch what jompiyHive account@jompiy is doing and am amazed at the effort he puts out as the Camden Market Free Art Man. I also understand his recent desire to make and record music and work on more Blond cards when he gets to Thailand in November. I have a lot I'd like to work on this summer, and I'll be writing up an explanatory post about it soon. Let's just say I want to experiment again without the internet. I want to live more on the outside to give my inside a rest. Detach the devices from my life. Put them in a box and have Rose hide them for a few months. Meanwhile I'll continue making these cards for a few more days, then remodel my studio to welcome an easier winter than the last one. The space was offering more of a tomb than a light in the dark. I want a design I can live in. No more coloful coffins!
Thanks for watching.

Here is my mother's first short film, with a jump scare!

I paint and write myself in and out of Afib from a cedar shake cottage by the shore of Lake Ontario. I seek nice people who think like I do, sometimes.
