The Worth Of Patience.

Patience is a virtue the mother of all virtues. There was once a time that patience helped me a lot, and that was the day I truly understood what is meant by patience is a virtue. It happened one time that I felt ill, and I was then admitted to the hospital after several checkups. The doctor told me that I had to be placed on a drip for a quick and safer recovery.

I had no choice but to get the drip as soon as possible because I was ill, and health is wealth; only when being healthy can I be able to carry out my daily activities. When I was on a trip, I remember that I had to go and write my WEAC examination, which was Civic Education. I had to tell the doctor that I was expected to be in school by 8:00 a.m. the following day. He then told me that while going for my exam, I should still come back for treatment.

But eventually, I didn't listen because the treatment was free. The next day I when to school and wrote my exam, but when I came back home I felt that I could stay in the hospital again because I felt I had important things to do, and secondly I taught that I was being give overdose because I was feeling less because, not knowing that my body is reacting to the drugs.

Because I didn't want to go back, I stayed home, and after a week, I got ill again. When I went to the hospital, the doctor saw me and was angry, so he didn't say anything. I was later attended to by another doctor, and he prescribed several drugs for me, urging me to take them daily without missing a dose.

After I was attended to, a woman who was working at the hospital as a cleaner, told me not to do what I did again, she told me to make sure I come back next time. I told her I will do just that. When I got home, I continued with the drugs, but it felt like it wasn't working, so I went back to the hospital and still landed on another drip, which I could have escaped if I had finished it in the first place.

Health, I truly value friends, making sure that we are patient enough matters, in making decisions we are to think well, and patiently to be able to apply wisdom. I had to go back because I was patient enough to finish the drip, Experience is the best teacher, but it is also said that a word is enough for the wise.
