Una mañana muy divertida/A really fun morning 🥳💗

Hello gente qué tal todo? Hoy quería escribirles un poco más temprano pero tuve algunos contratiempos y no se pudo, así que heme aquí para contarles sobre una actividad muy especial a la que pude asistir la semana pasada y se trató del lanzamiento de la EBDV (Escuela Bíblica de Vacaciones) una actividad que cada año se realiza durante una semana en los meses de Agosto o Septiembre en las Iglesias Bautistas y de la que yo estuve a cargo durante muchos años y decidí regresar a apoyar, esta vez como colaboradora.

La actividad se desarrolló en Juan Griego, un pueblo de nuestro estado un poco alejado de mi zona, así que nos tocó organizarnos con el transporte y gracias a Dios llegamos a tiempo para aprovechar la actividad desde el inicio.

La idea era explicarnos a todos los que vamos a trabajar en la EBDV la estructura de las actividades durante la semana, junto con herramientas e ideas para implementar cada día, pero lo genial de todo esto es que lo hicieron de una manera bastante divertida, ya que nos dividieron por grupos y estuvimos realizando algunas actividades que los niños deben hacer durante la EBDV.

En cuanto a mi equipo fue el número 5 y me escogieron como capitana y por dicha nos fue súper bien, ya que quedamos empatados en el primer lugar junto con otro equipo, y aunque la idea era desempatar, el tiempo estaba en contra, pero la verdad es que eso no fue lo realmente importante, sino el tiempo compartido y el aprendizaje.

Al finalizar la actividad caminamos hasta la terminal de autobuses para regresar a casita, pero tuve la bendición de que un amigo estaba en la zona y me trajo directo a casa.

De momento no tenemos fecha para la EBDV, pero les prometo que le daré avances de todo.

Hello, everyone! How’s it going? I wanted to write to you a little earlier today, but I ran into some setbacks and couldn’t, so here I am to tell you about a very special event I was able to attend last week: the launch of the EBDV (Vacation Bible School). This is an event that takes place every year for one week in August or September at Baptist churches. I was in charge of it for many years and decided to return to help out, this time as a volunteer.

The event took place in Juan Griego, a town in our state a bit far from where I live, so we had to figure out transportation, and thank God we arrived in time to take part in the event from the very beginning.

The idea was to explain to all of us who would be working at the Summer Bible School the structure of the week’s activities, along with tools and ideas for each day. But the best part was that they made it really fun—they divided us into groups and had us do some of the activities the children would be doing during the Summer Bible School.

As for my team, we were number 5, and I was chosen as captain. Luckily, we did really well—we tied for first place with another team. Although the plan was to break the tie, time was against us, but honestly, that wasn’t what really mattered; what mattered was the time we spent together and what we learned.

When the activity ended, we walked to the bus terminal to head back home, but I was lucky that a friend was in the area and gave me a ride straight home.

We don’t have a date for the EBDV yet, but I promise I’ll keep you updated on everything.
