Si me preguntas dónde vivo, te podría decir que vivo en un pedacito de cielo, un pequeño paraíso en la tierra, un peblito pequeñito que tiene como jardín al hermoso mar caribe, donde los hombres se despiertan antes de salir el sol para lanzar sus redes buscando no solo el sustento de su familia, sino proveer a todos los que vivimos en El Tirano, o Puerto Fermín como realmente se llama este pueblito de pescadores.

Es por eso que para mi primer día en
el reto #hivearoundtheworld he querido mostrarles un poquito de lo que viene a mi mente cuando pienso en El Tirano, y es la faena del pescador, un trabajo para nada sencillo, donde se arriesga la vida con cada salida al mar, pero que ellos realizan con total devoción y valentía, un arte que va transmitiendo de generación en generación.

Y es que no se trata solo de lanzar las redes al mar, es un trabajo que comienza en casa, donde el pescador cada tarde se sienta a preparar sus nazas y a remendar la atarraya y dejar todo listo para la jornada de la mañana siguiente. Así que si me preguntas que representa a este pueblito en el que vivo, te diría que su gente... gente de mar.

If you ask me where I live, I could tell you that I live in a little piece of heaven, a small paradise on earth, a tiny little town that has as its garden the beautiful Caribbean Sea, where men wake up before sunrise to cast their nets looking not only to support their families, but to provide for all of us who live in El Tirano, or Puerto Fermin as this little fishing village is really called.

That's why for my first day in
the #hivearoundtheworld challenge I wanted to show you a little bit of what comes to my mind when I think of El Tirano, and that is the work of the fisherman, a job that is not easy at all, where you risk your life with every trip to the sea, but that they perform with total devotion and courage, an art that is transmitted from generation to generation.

And it is not only about throwing the nets into the sea, it is a work that begins at home, where the fisherman sits down every afternoon to prepare his nets and to mend the fishing line and leave everything ready for the next morning. So if you ask me what represents this little town where I live, I would say its people? people of the sea.
