GREEN CRAB SPIDER // Capturing the Beauty of the Tiny Details of a Forest Spider.

Let me introduce you to this orb-weaver spider, which most likely belongs to the Araneidae family. One of its distinctive characteristics is its round abdomen, which is larger than the rest of its body. At first glance, this spider appears to be mainly green, but it also has a white abdomen with striking black patterns on its upper side. As usual, this spider has eight green legs covered with fine hairs, and I often find it among bushes, grasses, or in slightly damp places.

This is an orb-weaver spider, but I also often find it resting on leaves. It is well known for being very good at hiding, especially because of its green coloration, which allows it to camouflage easily among the surrounding foliage.

I managed to find this spider in the backyard garden of my house, and at that time it was perched on one of the tree branches. The light beneath the trees was a little too dim, so I had to move this spider to a brighter spot before taking its photograph. Fortunately, it was not too skittish, so I did not have much difficulty photographing it.

Of course, this was a great opportunity for me to photograph it using a macro lens, but it was not an easy thing to do because I had to bring the macro lens very close to the spider. It tried to avoid the lens several times, but I kept trying until I was able to photograph it.

The most difficult part was photographing this spider from the side, as it could see me and kept watching my every movement. However, when I looked at some of the photos I had managed to take, I became even more excited because every detail of this spider was clearly visible, and even the fine hairs on its legs could be seen in remarkable detail.

I do not know whether this spider is venomous or not, but so far I have never seen or heard of anyone dying from its bite. Without many people realizing it, this spider is a good friend to farmers because it preys on various insects that can damage crops, such as planthoppers, aphids, and other small insects, helping to control pest populations naturally. From this, we can conclude that something that looks frightening is not always a threat.

The more unique discoveries I make like this, the more interested I become in continuing to explore the tiny world of insects. There are so many small details that are invisible to the naked eye, yet they hold extraordinary beauty, and it takes a little effort and patience to truly see and appreciate them. Every effort may feel a little tiring, but the results we achieve will always be worth the effort.
