DISCOVERING A JUMPING SPIDER // Exploring the Amazing Details of a Unique Jumping Spider

This time, I would like to invite all of you to once again enter the tiny world of amazing insects and small creatures. Using a macro lens, let's take a look at the unique characteristics of a jumping spider that I managed to find in an abandoned plantation in my village.

I myself do not know what species of spider this is, but one thing is certain—this spider has a transparent orange body that appears to shimmer under the sunlight. This spider has eight very long, slender legs covered with tiny black spines, giving it a slightly frightening appearance. This spider is relatively small in size, but through the world of macro photography, every detail of its anatomy, texture, color, and body shape can be seen clearly. Of course, this is the hidden beauty of a tiny spider that turns out to have a very complex and astonishing body structure.

Usually, we can easily find this spider in bushes or among wild grasses, but sometimes I also often find this spider in front of my house. The good news is that this spider is not a pest to farmers, so its presence does not interfere with human activities at all. In fact, it can hunt insects and bugs that are greatly disliked by farmers.

When I found this spider, I immediately became interested in capturing its beauty, but that was not an easy thing to do. Its small and lightweight body allows it to move agilely among branches, leaves, and flowers without being easily noticed. I managed to photograph it when this spider perched on the branch of a wild fruit plant, and even then, I had to do it very carefully.

However, I felt very satisfied because I managed to photograph this spider from various different angles. I even succeeded in photographing it from a very difficult angle, which was from the front. From the image above, we can see the body structure of this spider quite clearly. It appears to be staying still while continuously watching my every movement. I realized that it was watching me, so I had to make sure not to make it feel threatened.

Now let's take another closer look at this spider in greater detail. Right beneath the front part of its body, there is something that at first glance looks like a pair of short hands or jaws. It made me very curious, so I had to search for it on Google. It turns out that those black structures are a pair of pedipalps (a pair of appendages) that function as sensory organs and reproductive organs used to transfer sperm to the female during mating.

And this is the world of macro photography—the more you explore it, the more fascinating it becomes.
