Our drive to work takes 40 minutes, and though people say that's a long commute, we don't mind - half of it is bush, there's only one set of traffic lights, and it's the road that takes us back to paradise. Plus, we get to listen to great tunes on 3PBS Melbourne radio, hang out together, and chat.

Sometimes we pick up a samosa from the servo on the way home. So good. I might even doze off a little.

And sometimes the skies are beautiful, like this morning - they've been burning off and there's also a bit of winter morning fog, so the clouds were gorgeous.

I often knit, or chat to Jamie, or look random things up like where the name Melbourne came from, which was Lord Melbourne, who was William Lamb, who PM of UK in the 1880's. Quite a prick by the sound, as he was totally pro slavery, and anti egalatarian - he thought there should be one law for the rich and one for the poor when it came to criminal punishment. He coached Queen Victoria through the early days of her queenship.

Narm is the first nation name for Melbourne - something that's been adopted over the last few years. There's a movement to have two names for place in Australia, recognising our history. Tassie's already gone a long way to do this and most people down there use either/or - for eg, Mount Wellington is also kunanyi.

Our drive time radio is these guys on PBS - you can listen again if you like. We really like Milo on Wednesday to Fridays who often plays banging tunes. They often have guest DJ's from 8 am - we usually get to work at 8.30. But you can also listen again.

How absolutely '90's rave is this? We were suprised to hear this guy was from Narm (Melbourne) - it sounded like someone who knew his British dance tunes. However, the host then said he hailed from Newcastle, so there you go.

This one's so new I can only give you a Tidal link - fuck Spot-iffy - here. It's been a lonnnnng time since this Beastie Boys founding member has put anything out. It feels like a jam session really but it's exciting to hear from this legend.
