Growing Menya-aces
Last Caturday, I introduced you to our new kittens: Charon, Pollux, and Castor. It was just five days ago when they turned into month-old kittens, but I can definitely see a lot of improvements in both their physique and behavior.
Aside from their activeness, I can now observe and deduce a little of what will be their unique qualities and cat-titudes. Charon for example, is the friendliest among them because he is usually the one who plays with other cats. He also lets me hold him, and at times he poses nicely.
Pollux, on the other hand, is the most tamed among them. He really behaves the best, and although he doesn’t interact that much with other kittens, he’s not totally antisocial. He sometimes plays with them, tho mostly he spends time with himself. Oh, by the way, he’s the best in terms of posing so far, and perhaps it’s because he is too behaved, unlike the next kitten.
Castor is definitely the most energetic and, if not, the hardest-to-hold kitten. I don’t know if he doesn’t like being held or he’s just too restless to be contained, but either way, he’s the hardest one to take pics with. I tried to caught him off guard a lot of times, but even if I did, he’s fast to react, and the moment I check the pictures, they just end up like a bunch of blur and tail pics of him. Maybe the only close up I got is way back a week before, where he was half asleep.
Because of that restlessness, I wasn’t able to comb the lice out of him today. I successfully extracted a lot of lice from Charon and Pollux. Pollux especially, stayed behaved for most of the process. He’s—if not a hundred—perhaps ninety percent lice-free. It took almost an hour for me to remove one by one the lice that clung to them.
Afterwards I gave them treats, and guess who dived in first? Of course, it’s Castor who gobbled the treats loudly as if I hadn’t given them this afternoon. It’s just two in the afternoon at that time, so I’m pretty sure they’re still quite full. Yet I guess their unexplained hunger (greediness perhaps) was the one responsible for their unsatiable stomachs. It's strange but there's no other possible reason really.
Well..I guess that’s all for today, cat lovers! Again, I hope you’re all doing well with your feline companions, and I do wish I could share more about our cat family in the coming weeks. See ya!
Sincerenya-ly,
