On dark days, I often wonder;

'When will it happen for me?'

There is joy around the world

And yet, I haven't felt real joy.

Meanwhile, time passes by,

and so do my desires.

For sad days, I really ponder;

'When will light shine on me?'

Lives are being fulfilled around me.

And still, I lack true fulfilment.

Each day, I get older,

and yet even lonelier.

On weird days, I'm torn asunder.

'When will things click for me?'

Each year runs like an athlete.

But still, I fail to hit gold.

When I think i'll fall in love,

my heart simply switches off.

For bad days, thoughts go yonder.

'When will life meet my dreams?'

Love permeates all around me.

Yet, my world remains incomplete

Will I remain ever stagnant?

Or will life smile on me?
