The common tern (Sterna hirundo)
These graceful birds nest along with gulls, also in numerous colonies.
Terns can fly long and gracefully over the river in search of prey, namely in search of small fishes, invertebrates.
After seeing the prey, they hang in the air, aim and swoop rapidly. But they do not dive, but only slightly submerged in water. Terns rest on the banks, but mainly on small shallows or rocks.
