๐ฆ The long-tailed tit or long-tailed bushtit (Aegithalos caudatus)
- Aegithalos (Greek): tit
- caudatus (lat.): tailed
From a distance, these charming birds resemble a fluffy white ball with a long tail sticking out. They can be seen at any time of year. This isn't difficult, as they're quite friendly and can be approached up close. However, you won't be able to tame them like great tits or willow tits.
The best time to admire them is in the fall, when their young are growing up and they all fly together in small groups through the forests. They often join other birds in mixed flocks.
