Hello HIVE, I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the good friendships that life allows us to have.
Hola HIVE espero que todos se encuentren muy bien disfrutando de las buenas amistades que la vida nos permite tener.
Today we had the opportunity to celebrate a friend's (belated) birthday. She lives in Barquisimeto, so those of us here in the capital don't see her in person very often. Since she's also an artist and student, she frequently visits Caracas, as it's the heart of the art scene. We had planned to get together a couple of months ago on July 11th, but with the recent earthquakes in Venezuela, we couldn't make it.
Hoy se nos permitió la ocasión de celebrar el cumpleaños (atrasado) de una amiga, Ella vive en Barquisimeto y por eso no la vemos en persona con frecuencia los que estamos aquí en la capital, ella como también es practicante del arte y estudiante, visita constantemente la ciudad de Caracas, ya que aquí es donde hay mayor movimiento en el ámbito artístico. Habíamos planeado desde hace un par de meses atrás que nos reuniríamos el día 11 de Julio, pero con todo lo ocurrido recientemente con los terremotos en Venezuela, no pudimos vernos en esa ocasión.
Yesterday I received a message from her letting me know she was on her way to the capital. Our other mutual friends messaged me to plan something low-key we could do to have a good time and hang out. We went to a bar in Caracas; I don't remember the name right now. It's near the city center, and the name is something like "The Two Brothers," or I don't know how many brothers there were, but it had something to do with the name of the place.
El día de ayer recibí el mensaje de ella avisándome que venía en camino para la capital, los otros amigos en común que tenemos me escribieron para planear algo tranquilo que pudiéramos hacer para pasar un buen rato y compartir entre amigos. Nos fuimos a un Bar que queda en la ciudad de Caracas, horita no recuerdo bien el nombre, queda cerca del centro de la ciudad, el nombre es algo así como "Los dos hermanos" o no sé cuántos hermanos eran, pero algo así tenía que ver con el nombre del local.
The place was quite nice for sharing some beers with friends; we really had a great time. We talked, laughed, planned future business ventures, and agreed that we had to organize a collective art exhibition to unify the artistic community that ego has cracked to its foundations for so many years—the kind of things you talk about and plan when you drink alcohol.
El lugar era bastante agradable como para compartir unas birras junto a los amigos, de verdad la pasamos full bien, hablamos, reímos, planeamos negocios a futuro, quedamos en que teníamos que organizar una exposición colectiva de arte, para unificar a la comunidad artística que por tantos años el ego ha desquebrajado hasta los cimientos, ese tipo de cosas que se hablan y planean cuando se bebe alcohol.
My friend will be in the capital for a couple more days and then she's heading back, but I truly loved being able to enjoy this wonderful gathering with fellow artists. This is the greatest part of being alive; I know we'll meet again soon and be able to create together and organize exhibitions. I hope you enjoyed this experience. Good vibes.
Mi amiga va a estar un par de días más por la capital y luego se regresa, pero me encanto de verdad haber podido disfrutar de este maravilloso encuentro con amigos creadores, esta es la parte más grandiosa de estar vivos; sé que pronto nos volveremos a encontrar y podremos crear todos juntos y organizar exposiciones. Espero que esta experiencia les haya gustado, buenas vibras.
