Biking to HiveFest #1 - Lend (AT) - Tarvisio (IT)

As already mentioned briefly in my post in the morning, I am biking to HiveFest. At least that's the plan.

Today I started from Tyrol (AT), taking a little shortcut to Lend by train, where my bike journey began. The first goal was the end of the Gasteiner valley. You just go until the road ends in Böckstein and there you will have to board a train, which will take you to the other side of the mountain.

From Mallnitz I then headed to the South-East, towards Spittal an der Drau. It was drizzling almost all the way until there😅 and I was heading right towards a thunderstorm.

After grabbing some snacks and taking a break, it luckily had almost passed and I could continue with some light rain. In Villach, which is in Carinthia, the rain finally stopped and the sun came out.

From there I changed directions and headed South-West towards the Italian border.

After a few more kilometers I finally reached my destination for the day, Tarvisio (IT). The reward followed shortly after:

In total I rode 147km and 1500 vertical meters in about 7 hours 20. Tomorrow I will be heading towards Trieste.
