I made a cap for a colleague.
Hello everyone @needleworkmonday,it's was really an amazing weekend.
It was filled with fun, creativity and more.
I am really glad to share with you the cap I made for a male colleague.
We had a Thanksgiving service and we were to appear in white lace and Ankara was used as our headwear
Here are the materials I used
- Ankara fabric
- measuring tape
- collar stays
- scissors
First step
The first step I took was to get the fabric needed for the cap. After selecting the fabric, I measured the circumference of the man's head to ensure that the cap would fit properly and comfortably
Second step
Next, I drafted the pattern using the measurements obtained. I used the head circumference measurement and took a height measurement of 9 inches, including the sewing allowance. This helped me achieve the desired shape and size of the cap
Next step
This step was for the top of the cap.
I go collar stays and stayed using iron to make the top of the cap firm and stronger.
Next step
After marking the measurements on the fabric, I carefully cut out the pattern pieces. I then joined the pieces together by sewing them neatly, ensuring that the seams were properly aligned.
Finally I finished the cap by trimming excess threads and pressing it neatly. The result was a well-fitted and attractive man's cap, ready for use.
