Here is the second donut from Krispy Kreme's special limited edition Coronation donuts. I really enjoyed the King's Trifle. I hoped this one would be just as nice.

I have never seen a donut look like a Bakewell tart before and this didn't disappoint. It looked glorious. The white icing was perfect with that added detail of the pink swirl and of course the cherry on top. This donut was also fluffy and inside it was full of raspberry and almond kreme. Every time I took a bite, the filling would squeeze out and I'd have to go in and lick it very quickly. The filing had a great almost taste and it really worked well with the raspberry too. It definitely made me feel like I was eating a Bakewell tart.
You can't get more British than a Bakewell tart. Another brilliantly flavoured donut from Krispy Kreme. It was about time they heard our cries for new flavours and what a time to bring them. Thank you Krispy Kreme!
