Cookie Friends,

This was the other donut Krispy Kreme recently brought out. I don't think I've ever had a cookie donut from them before, so it was going to be interesting to see how this one tastes. Quite amusing that they did bring out a cookie one because it's been very recent that I've been saying how much I am enjoying the bakery cookies from he supermarkets. Haha!

"Limited edition Cookie Doughnut filled with brownie batter, dipped in white chocolate flavoured icing, topped with cookie crumb and lined with milk chocolate flavoured icing."

I loved the look of this cookie donut, especially the way the chocolate icing was patterned on the white chocolate base. There was a good helping of cookie crumb on top too. It definitely looked 'cookie like'. The filling was smooth and rich in flavour but not over powering. This with the cookie crumb did make this donut taste like a chocolate chip cookie. No question about it.

I didn't have high expectations for this donut. I mainly wanted to get one in to say I've had it. It tasted much better than I thought it would. When I saw it had brownie batter in the middle, I thought "Here we go, another chocolate donut!" I was wrong. Yes it was chocolatey but it also had that added bit of crunch and taste that turned this donut from a chocolate donut to a cookie donut. Very nice.
