Losing 75lbs During A Pandemic: Post 3

Another week into the weight loss journey and I'm still going strong.

One of the issues I faced this week was that it was a follow-on from my first 'free meal' and that had led to some big water weight gain that took a few days to get rid of before I could start hitting new targets again.

As a result, although I have made progress this week, it isn't as much as I would have liked but it is progress nevertheless. I am expecting to see better results this coming week because I am not having a free meal until I reach 210 lbs.

Week 0: 231.2 lbs
Week 3: 217.0 lbs
Week 4: 215.2 lbs (-1.8 lbs)

Total loss: 16.0 lbs
Remaining: 60.2 lbs

Something I noticed last week was that I wasn't getting enough water in. I drink a couple of zero-calorie energy drinks per day because the caffeine helps to reduce hunger. They work well but aren't a good source of hydration.

To combat this, I've bought a 2.2-litre bottle that I fill with water at the start of the day and make sure I finish by mid-afternoon. This means I'm getting 3.2 litres of fluid in me as a minimum. I then drink more water if I feel like it.

Ultimately, my target is to lose 4 lbs per week on average which is aggressive but doable on the diet I am running. So far, I'm hitting that goal perfectly having lost 16 lbs exactly in the first 4 weeks.

If I manage to continue to hit this goal, I should hit my target of 155 lbs by mid-Augst which would be great timing for when my gym hopefully reopens.

Thanks for reading and I hope you're all doing well.
