Today was one of those #Mondays that start with good intentions and end with tissues, tea and the feeling that the weather went into “surprise” mode. I only went out for a little while, a short turn, but enough for the drizzle, the wind, and those typical power outages to leave me with a cold as a gift. 🌧️💡

It's not the best way to start the week, I know. But at least I managed to buy what I went looking for. And that, for me, is already a small victory.

The adventure of leaving (and returning) with an uncertain prognosis

The idea was simple: go out, buy, and come back. No big plans. But the sky had other plans: gray clouds, drops that looked like "Let's see if you get a little wet,” and that weather that makes you hesitate whether to wear a jacket or not.

To that we add the power outages, which always arrive at the least expected moment (being at home or on the street). And so, between drizzles, traffic lights that seem decorative, and streets that shine intermittently, I ended up returning home with that feeling of "Ok, my body is charging me for the exit.”

The “guarapo” that fixes (almost) everything

Right now I'm drinking herbal tea, what we affectionately call in Venezuela “guarapo.” It's not a magic formula, but it helps. It's like the liquid hug that tells you, "Calm down, this happens."

Between sips, I organize the day's record. Because, although Monday was not perfect, it has its story. And the stories, even if they are from gray days, deserve to be told.

What did go well

• I managed to buy what I needed. ✅

• The round trip was completed without any major problems (beyond the weather and electricity). ✅

• Now I am at home, safe, with something warm in my hands and the intention of taking care of my body. ✅

Sometimes, the “not so good” days also have their good side. You just have to look for it with a little humor.

Plan for the rest of Monday (and the week)

The plan is simple:

• Eat something delicious (although we will have to cook it, and making it delicious, with our culinary skills, is very relative). 🍲

• Go to sleep early (this is always an imprecise schedule and can vary depending on what happens between night and dawn). 😴

• Let the body rest and the cold go away quickly (I really have to take that seriously, and it is not a negotiable item on the to-do list).

And, above all the above, wish that the rest of the week be kinder, more productive, and more abundant. For me and everyone reading this.

May this week that begins bring us good things, opportunities and those small achievements that make a difference. 🌟

Sometimes, sharing a Monday “with ups and downs” helps us laugh a little and carry on. 😉

Mi lunes (con lluvia, electricidad intermitente y un “guarapo” en mano)

Hoy fue uno de esos #lunes que empiezan con buena intención y terminan con pañuelos, té y la sensación de que el clima se puso en modo “sorpresa”. Salí solo un ratito, una vuelta corta, pero suficiente para que la llovizna, el viento y esos cortes de luz típicos me dejaran con un resfriado de regalo. 🌧️💡

No es la mejor forma de arrancar la semana, lo sé. Pero, al menos, logré comprar lo que fui a buscar. Y eso, para mí, ya es una pequeña victoria.

La aventura de salir (y regresar) con pronóstico incierto

La idea era simple: salir, comprar y volver. Nada de grandes planes. Pero el cielo tenía otros planes: nubes grises, gotas que parecían “a ver si te mojas un poquito”, y ese clima que te hace dudar entre usar chaqueta o no.

A eso le sumamos los cortes de luz, que siempre llegan en el momento menos esperado (estando en casa o en la calle). Y así, entre lloviznas, semáforos que parecen decorativos y calles que brillan en modo intermitente, terminé regresando a casa con esa sensación de “ok, el cuerpo me está cobrando la salida”.

El “guarapo” que lo arregla (casi) todo

Ahora mismo estoy con un té herbal, lo que en #Venezuela llamamos cariñosamente “guarapo”. No es fórmula mágica, pero ayuda. Es como el abrazo líquido que te dice: “tranquilo, esto pasa”.

Entre sorbos, voy organizando el registro del día. Porque, aunque el lunes no haya sido perfecto, tiene su historia. Y las historias, aunque sean de días grises, merecen ser contadas.

Lo que sí salió bien

• Logré comprar lo que necesitaba. ✅

• El viaje de ida y vuelta se completó sin mayores sobresaltos (más allá del clima y la electricidad). ✅

• Ahora estoy en casa, seguro, con algo caliente en las manos y la intención de cuidar el cuerpo. ✅

A veces, los días “no tan buenos” también tienen su lado amable. Solo hay que buscarlo con un poco de humor.

Plan para el resto del lunes (y la semana)

El plan es simple:

• Comer algo rico (auque tocará cocinarlo y eso de que quede rico, con nuestras habilidades culinarias, es muy relativo). 🍲

• Dormir temprano (eso siempre es un horario impreciso y puede variar según l que ocurra entre la noche y la madrugada). 😴

• Dejar que el cuerpo descanse y el resfriado se vaya rápido (eso si que debo tomarlo en serio y no es un punto negociable en la lista de tareas).

Y, por encima de todo lo anterior, desear que el resto de la semana sea más amable, más productiva y más abundante. Para mí y para todos los que leen esto.

Que esta semana que comienza nos traiga cosas buenas, oportunidades, y esos pequeños logros que hacen la diferencia. 🌟

A veces, compartir un lunes “con altibajos” nos ayuda a reírnos un poco y a seguir. 😉
