Velvety

Velvety
Like chocolate
With no milk
Mainly coco butter
Coal like or maybe licorice
That soft kind that feel
Velvety but you can
Pull it apart and mash it
And remove all the brightness
Returning it to a shadowy ball
Vegemite spread thickly on
A sharp piece of toast
Shiny and tart or umami
A cake made to look like a tire
I don’t like that line I’m going to fix it
and a shiny noir
Orb playfully rolling upon a water feature
The absence of candles and fairy lights
Pin prick of glowing worms in a peaceful forest
It all seems so moody until the hippies move in
And start a rave
