Grandparent duties for 2 days including a sleepover

Thanks to consciouscat and new.things for introducing me to Silver Bloggers. Grandparent duties with our 5yo and 3yo for 2 days/1 night sleep over was certainly energy sapping. We reached our daily step challenge easily whilst kicking footballs, playing football, supervising scooter rides, pretend mowing the lawn, retrieving footballs from neighbours yard and our pergola roof, rearranging the backyard on multiple occasions as our back yard was transformed into as many props as a movie set, evidenced in the photos with no limits to their imagination. They enjoyed playing with Eric the Emu and Larry the Lizard which was made for them from scrap metal. Its difficult to comprehend how many sets of clothes they can wet/dirty in one day and the boot of my wife’s car was full for the return handover
