Today, Wednesday, I went out—but to the hospital. I know that doesn’t sound like much fun. But I was determined to make it a pleasant outing on my way back, and thank God, I was able to do just that. Even so, I can still make the most of a trip out, even though my walks shouldn’t be too long right now. Still, looking on the bright side, the doctor’s recommendation is to walk—but not to overdo it. That’s fine with me, and I’m not complaining.

So, I took the opportunity to stroll at a leisurely pace and take some photos of what I saw this Wednesday after leaving the hospital. Well, the day dawned cloudy; the sky looked a bit gloomy. I glanced up at the top of a church, and just then, a bird soared through the sky. I loved that shot—it meant a lot to me.

Birds could be seen and heard singing everywhere—not just in the trees, but also on the city’s power lines. Birds are the ones who let out their battle cry every day. It seems that the only thing that matters to them is giving thanks for the new dawn, and without a doubt, their attitude is a good example of how we humans should start the day.

The good news is that there are people who start their day with optimism. Some head to work, others to school, and there’s a lot of traffic. In the mornings, you can see that many people use the Metro Plus, an environmentally friendly public transportation system, and as you can see, Medellín moves and breathes naturally—just as the slogan for this eco-friendly transportation service says.

I enjoyed my walk, taking it easy and stopping every now and then. I took the opportunity to snap some photos and was pleased with the results. But I wasn’t done yet, because I also stopped in front of a couple of shops. One was a restaurant that had just put out its sign advertising the daily special, but it was still too early, so I couldn’t yet read what dishes were being offered. However, I liked the style of the sign, which featured some colorful, handcrafted little hats. So cute!

A little further on, I saw a flower shop that had just opened, and the owner was already putting together a large floral arrangement.

My admiration for flowers is always part of my outings. Of course, when I’m in a city as naturally beautiful as Medellín, it’s impossible for me to ignore them, so I’m sharing a few photos with you, even if there aren’t many.

This time the sky was cloudy, but I'm convinced that life and hope shine every day.

Hoy miércoles, hice una salida, pero al hospital. Ya sé que no suena como algo divertido. Pero en mi mente tenía el firme propósito de convertirlo en un paseo agradable cuando estuviera de regreso y así lo pude hacer, gracias a Dios. Igual, una salida se puede aprovechar aunque por ahora mis caminatas no deben ser muy largas. Sin embargo, viendo el lado bueno la recomendación médica es caminar, pero sin abusar. Eso está bien para mí y no me quejo.
Así que, aproveché para pasear sin prisa y tomar algunas fotos de lo que vi este miércoles después de salir del hospital. Bueno este día amaneció nublado, el cielo se veía en un tono triste. Eché una mirada a lo alto de una iglesia y un ave en ese momento surca el cielo. Me encantó esa toma con mucho significado para mí.

Los pájaros se veían y oían cantando por todos lados, no solo sobre los árboles, también se ven en los cables de electricidad de la ciudad. Las aves son las que lanzan su grito de guerra todos los días. Parece que lo único que les importa es agradecer por el nuevo amanecer y sin duda, que su actitud es un buen ejemplo de cómo los humanos debemos iniciar el día.




La buena noticia es que si hay humanos que con optimismo inician el día. Unos van a sus sitios de trabajo otros a sus sitios de estudio y se ve mucho tránsito vehicular. En las mañanas se ve que muchas personas usan el Metro Plus, un sistema de transporte público amable con el medio ambiente y como ven, Medellín se mueve y respira naturalmente, tal cual como dice el eslogan de este servicio de transporte ecológico.


Disfruté hacer mi caminata, con calma y haciendo algunas pausas. Aproveché de tomar mis fotos y quedé satisfecha. Pero no he terminado, porque también me detuve frente a un par de locales, uno era un restaurante que acababa de sacar el aviso para anunciar el menú del día, pero era muy temprano aún y por eso todavía no se leía que platillos se ofrecían. Sin embargo, me gustó el estilo del letrero el cual tenía unos sombreritos artesanales y muy coloridos. ¡Muy lindos!

Mas adelante, vi una floristería que recién estaba abierta y ya estaba el dueño haciendo un gran arreglo floral.

Mi admiración por las flores no puede faltar cuando hago una salida. Por supuesto, si estoy en una ciudad adornada naturalmente como lo es Medellín para mí resulta imposible ignorarlas por eso les muestro unas cuantas fotos, aunque sean pocas.
