Steamed Chocolate Buns
Hi bloggers and food lovers, today I’m going to share a simple bun recipe I made for breakfast last night—soft chocolate-filled buns that are, most importantly, easy to make and don’t require many ingredients. Okay, let’s get started!
Ingredients:
- 15 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp yeast
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 100 ml milk
- 50 ml water
- 1 tbsp margarine
- a pinch of salt
- chocolate filling
Steps:
- Add the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, a pinch of salt, and yeast to a mixing bowl
- Add the milk and water to the mixing bowl
- Mix the ingredients until combined and a dough forms
- Add the margarine to the dough
- Knead the dough again with the margarine until the dough becomes smooth and elastic
- Let the dough rest for 1 hour until it rises significantly
After rising, knead the dough again
Divide the dough into 8 portions
- Take one portion of the divided dough and flatten it
- Place the chocolate filling inside the dough
- Close the dough and shape it into a round like this
Place the dough in a baking pan greased with margarine and repeat until all the dough is used
Let the dough rest for 15 minutes before steaming
After 15 minutes, place the baking pan into a steamer filled with previously boiled water
Steam the buns for 20 minutes
- Once the buns are done, let the chocolate-filled buns cool to room temperature
- The steamed chocolate-filled buns are ready to eat
