Litochoro
At the foot of the majestic Mount Olympus, the town of Litochoro buzzes with a quiet charm. Nestled between the sea and the mountain, it is a place where myths come to life. The town holds stories that are much older than I can imagine, featuring narrow cobblestone streets, stone houses adorned with wooden shutters, and the delightful scent of pine and salt from the Aegean Sea.
I enjoyed a nice cup of coffee at the town square before taking a stroll through the streets and the nearby pinewood park. While heading uphill to the highest point of the town, I noticed a sign pointing toward the trail leading to the so-called Zeus Baths. My first thought was that I could visit it early in the morning.
Litochoro doesn’t demand your attention; it quietly earns it.
