50 in Paris

Three months ago—on June 23rd, to be exact—my older sister turned 50. To celebrate, she came up with the idea of a family trip: three days in Paris and a concert by her favorite musician, Santana, at the Accor Arena. It was also her very first time flying, which was a big psychological hurdle for her. To avoid backing out at the last minute, she made all the arrangements months in advance and only told us about it two weeks before we were set to leave.

Since we all live far apart and don’t get to see each other often, we were really excited to spend some time together. Honestly, I can’t even remember the last time we traveled as a family—probably sometime in the late '80s, when our dad took us to the seaside in Montenegro.

The flight went smoothly, so from that point on, it was all about enjoying ourselves.
This was also the first trip I’ve taken without a camera, which was a tough but necessary call. I genuinely wanted to focus on being present and spending time with my sisters, and I knew the camera would end up being a distraction—for me and for everyone else.

Since we've probably all heard stories about Paris and seen amazing pictures from great photographers, I guess I'll just share a few memories from my cell phone.
