Oh, I love second visits! When you visit a certain place for the first time, you don't know what to expect; it can be surprisingly good, but also bad... You can get to some place by chance, or by mistake... But when you go somewhere for the second time, you go there because you WANT it, because you want to dig deeper, to research it better... The second visit is the one that gives the real picture about the place, and the one where you take photos of those tiny details you missed the first time...
Like those colorful snails... When I scrolled through your post (without reading), I thought they were painted small sculptures, as those colors are so vivid! Nature is amazing, and that place spreads some calm vibes... Perfect place for a picnic with family and a boat ride!

Golf Monster by @chris-uk

The same as Steve, I never played proper golf, but we did have a "practice field" in our town... When my son was around 12 years old, he joined the local club and practiced for over a year... To connect more with him, he "invited" me for a duel a couple of times, and it was a lot of fun... I remember there were round, net baskets that we would try to hit from 75 - 100 m, and he was thrilled to explain how to take a shot, the position of the body, swing, etc... 😃
Every outdoor activity is fun when friends are involved! A few more occasions and your friends will get better and give you a hard time to beat them... :)

I read ‘mango and smoked pork chops’ and thought to myself: this must be really tasty. I’ve actually never tried chutney or anything like it, but it looks brilliant; that combination of flavours must be a real treat for the palate. That said, I don’t like spicy food, so I’ll go for the sweet chillies, as you mentioned.
The flavour must be delicious, but I’m also struck by the colours, it looks beautifully presented, a dish that really catches the eye. My problem is always choosing the right mango; I think I’ve told you this before, I tend to pick the wrong ones and they have a strong flavour, but I’ve tried the sweet ones and they’re delicious. What a great recipe, I love it.

Not every day is a good one; we all have our ups and downs, but it’s on those bad days that we need to try and lift our spirits, just as you’ve done. Writing about your sorrows helps them fade a little, and the exhaustion eases. I feel that way sometimes too, but for some reason something pushes me forward, as if it were forbidden to stop, because the good things lie ahead.
I love the photos; they give me a sense of memories and nostalgia, of a past that comes flooding back thanks to that black-and-white style. But look at the last one; a bird is flying in the distance; perhaps it’ll bring you some good news.

Family Is Not Always Everything || LOH #300 by @yechee

Don't want to play devil's advocate here, but friends can also act like some of your family members... They can also betray and deceive us, with the difference that we can "ditch them", and family will stay family... On the other side, I suppose those bad seeds of the family are usually marginalized, or simply ignored... At least, that's how I deal with it... Family members who don't appreciate others are those that I don't keep in contact with at all... Yes, we tend to give "more chances" to the family than others, but why would we spend our time on those who don't deserve it?
As you said, we have good friends who are by our side, and we should be by their side, too!

I absolutely loved today’s photographic composition; your grandson’s face is perfect for modelling. They’re all different photos taken in very well-chosen settings, but the important thing is that they’re all distinct; they’re not part of a sequence. The first and last photos are my favourites; there’s a freshness about childhood that makes it ideal for photography, and you’ve managed to capture it. I congratulate you on having such a lovely grandson.
