Mining fees going up

1= Bitcoin legacy address
3 = multisig or segwit compatibility P2SH
Bc1 = Segwit native
Segwit reduces the tx size and fees. I still need to watch aantop video on the subject from a few days ago.
There's also a bidding war
Some wallets are paying high fees needlessly causing feedback loop and driving fees up.
