PRODUCTION OF CUT FLOWERS
Cut flowers are produced in greenhouses,in shade houses and outdoors.Green houses are used for both warm and cool season crops.The principal environmental factors such as water,temperaturel,light and essential elements are either entirely or partially controlled.Water is supplied by specialized irrigation systems and devices.Night temperature is either thermostically or manually controlled.Light intensity should be increased in the rainy season by removal of the shading materials.The increased can be by the use of electric lights.Essential elements are provided as solutions moderately refined salts and in various slow released forms.
