Teh Tarik with Milo Topping
Enjoy tea in a different way with delicious milk, Oreo crumbs, and chocolate Milo.
Enjoy a milk tea drink that is very popular in my area. Known as teh tarik, this drink is usually enjoyed straight without any toppings. However, I wanted to make it different by adding Milo and Oreo toppings. I'm not sure why, but I'm really curious about adding Milo toppings on top. Besides the chocolate flavor in the sweet drink and its creamy texture, this combination is enough to make anyone who tries it fall in love with it. This drink itself is suitable to be served hot or cold. I usually enjoy it cold with ice cubes when I have it at a café. However, this time I'll try making it slightly warm after brewing it with tea.
This simple drink is perfect for family gatherings or for relaxing while enjoying simple snacks. Make sure you drink it warm on a rainy day—it will taste even better.
Ingredients
22 grams of Milo
1 teaspoon of tea
2 tablespoons of sweetened condensed milk
1 teaspoon of salt
Oreo cookies, as needed
200 ml of water
Preparation
Boil the tea in boiling water, then add sugar and cook until it boils.
Strain the cooked tea into a prepared container.
Add the tea to a blender, then add milk and blend until frothy.
Serve in a glass, then add Milo and Oreos on top. Ready to enjoy.
Result
Tara!!! Look at the result—it's very simple but very luxurious. I really like this teh tarik. It's just like the ones I order at cafes, but with a hint of chocolate and a super Oreo flavor.
A mild crime with the perfect sweet taste of milk tea. I really like the combination of flavors, which is very similar to what I enjoy at cafes, but with a noticeable tea flavor that is not overpowering.
For those of you who want to enjoy a simple drink made from pulled tea with Milo and Oreo toppings, try making this. I'm sure you'll love it.
