Chocolate Soy Milk Ice
Chocolate and milk—two flavor combinations that we simply can’t get enough of. I’m sure you love these two ingredients, whether combined in foods or drinks like this one. So, for all you chocolate milk lovers out there who don’t have to worry about dairy allergies, you should try this simple drink made with a 100 percent vegan recipe.
Chocolate Soy Milk Shake
A chocolate soy milk shake is a beverage made primarily from soy milk, combined with chocolate to give it that signature flavor. As we know, soy milk sometimes has a slightly beany aroma and taste compared to dairy milk. However, to minimize that, I usually add pandan leaves or liquid vanilla extract.
But the fresh soy milk I’m using here is a little different—it tastes delicious with no musty aftertaste. This is fresh soy milk that my husband buys almost every day from a tofu factory. It’s very affordable and delicious, so we’ve become regular customers.
Since I wanted a drink that was different from the usual, I thought, why not turn it into a chocolate milk drink? The flavor will surely be varied when enjoyed. Of course, it won’t be boring when it’s time for my daily milk.
Curious about the preparation steps? Let’s check out the recipe below!.
Ingredients
500 ml soy milk
1 tablespoon cocoa powder
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
2 pandan leaves
Cooking Instructions
Pour fresh soy milk into a pot, then add cocoa powder. If you want a richer flavor, you can add more cocoa powder.
Next, add granulated sugar to your desired level of sweetness, followed by a pinch of salt to taste.
Stir everything until well combined, then cook over low heat—don’t forget to add the pandan leaves. Cook until it comes to a gentle boil, stirring constantly to prevent the milk from boiling over.
Result
Tara, look at how my chocolate milk turned out—I’m so happy with it; it looks beautiful and, of course, tastes absolutely delicious. Even though it’s not the same as regular milk, soy milk has its own distinct flavor profile. It’s really delicious—the chocolate flavor is just right, and you can really taste the sweetness, too.
When you drink it, you have to stir it so the chocolate and milk blend together to create a milky, creamy texture. I really love this combination. My content is exclusive to Hive and isn't available on any other platform
