Data analysis

In this 21st century we keep hearing people talk about skills and the importance of learning different skills and that it will help us in life. Truly skill acquisition is very good especially in this economic dwindling society.

‎Now if i am asked , "If you could master one skill instantly, what would it be?" my answer would be data analysis without delays. Because long before now , I have been longing to learn data analysis , it's always the issue of financial constraints , but if I have the opportunity to learn a skill I will still go for data analysis.

‎In a world were we generate data from everything then analysis such data and interpreting it to make sense is very necessary. Data is generated and needed in every field , education/schools , hospitals, telecommunication , every click on some social media pages and purchase at the supermarket or mall, exam result, hospital record, business transaction, and social media interaction creates information and the admin of all these platform and the owners needs some analysis to make it make sense. The real challenge is not collecting the data but understanding it and what it is trying to tell us and making good use of it, and this is why having a data analysis skill is necessary because raw data is being transformed to meaningful ideas and help us make concrete decision instead of making decisions based on assumptions. Even government use analyse data to make policies, plan for governance, business owners uses it to rate the inflow of customers and the level of sales. In the education sector, educationist uses it to make academic decisions, even students uses it to analyze research data.

‎And as someone with education background and managing a charity organization, having a good knowledge and skill in data analysis will really go a long way to help me solve some problems in those areas. Data analysis will also help me in critical thinking.

‎So if I could wake up one morning and have the opportunity to master a skill immediately, it will be data analysis first before going into another tech skill.
