Invest in knowledge first

Some people give advice some are good and some are not that good, which is why every advice must be subjected to scrutiny before making use of such advice. But at times we tend to ignore some kind advice , maybe because of the source of the advice or previous experience. The truth is , if you don't trust the source of the information you will not always trust the information I that comes from the source.

‎There was a time that trading and investing on forex was trending and it was was talk of the town, a lot of people troop into it, some invested and some learnt the trading . So a friend introduce me to someone who teaches people how to trade and also collect money from people to invest and pay them return of investment (ROI). So I decided to invest while preparing to learn. One of my friend instructed and advised me not to invest because at some point I might loose the money. He said instead of investing, I should use the money to pay and learn how to trade by myself. But since I was not that financially stable , I decided to ignore the advice. I told him, that I will invest then later use the ROI and add with other money and learn how to trade.

‎So after all my explanation, I went further to invest and after the first month the ROI was being paid, it was that juicy . The ROI was paid for about 5 months and all of a sudden it stopped and when I enquire to know the cause , my brothers and sisters, the story long. The man explained a whole lot of things that was not even making sense. All what I wanted to hear was that he will return our capital as agreed, but my expectations didn't come as expected. The unecessary explanation kept on coming in, he kept promising that he will pay, days turn to weeks , weeks to months and behold it's about 5 years now, I have not gotten my capital back.

‎But since then I have not learnt my lessons. These days I don't invest in what I don't have good knowledge about. So I learn first before doing. At times I do it myself.
